We had some problems with newer versions so had held off on updating. Those problems appear to have been resolved. In addition, the --compat flag is no longer required. Prior versions of MinIO required all parts of a multi-part upload (except the last) to be of equal size. The --compat flag was introduced to restore the default S3 behavior. Now --compat is only required when ETag is being used for MD5 verification, which we don't do.
