# Unsafe Functions

A function or method can be marked `unsafe` if it has extra preconditions you
must uphold to avoid undefined behaviour.

Unsafe functions may come from two places:

- Rust functions declared unsafe.
- Unsafe foreign functions in `extern "C"` blocks.
