searcher: disable mmap searching on non-64 bit
It looks like it's possible for mmap to succeed on 32-bit systems even
when the full file can't be addressed in memory. This used to work prior
to ripgrep 13, but (maybe) something about statically linking vcruntime
has caused this to now fail.

It's no big deal to disable mmap searching on 32-bit, so we just do that
instead of returning incorrect results.

grep-searcher

A high level library for executing fast line oriented searches. This handles things like reporting contextual lines, counting lines, inverting a search, detecting binary data, automatic UTF-16 transcoding and deciding whether or not to use memory maps.

Build status

Dual-licensed under MIT or the UNLICENSE.

NOTE: You probably don't want to use this crate directly. Instead, you should prefer the facade defined in the grep crate.

Usage

Add this to your Cargo.toml:

[dependencies]
grep-searcher = "0.1"
