b315042c8c Remove libpostproc. 
This library does not fit into Libav as a whole and its code is just a
maintenance burden.  Furthermore it is now available as an external project,
which completely obviates any reason to keep it around.

e9cda85351 avcodec: add duration field to AVCodecParserContext 
This will allow parsers to export the duration of the current frame being

8bdab32f4e libavformat: Rename the applehttp protocol to hls 
Keep the old protocol name around for backwards compatibility
until the next bump.

Deprecate the method of implicitly assuming the nested protocol.
For applehttp://server/path, it might have felt logical, but
supporting hls://server/path isn't quite as intuitive. Therefore
only support hls+http://server/path from now on.

Using this protocol at all is discouraged, since the hls demuxer
is more complete and fits into the architecture better. There
have been cases where the protocol implementation worked better
than the demuxer, but this should no longer be the case.

e496c45d9b drawtext: add 'fix_bounds' option on coords fixing 
Before, drawtext filter deliberately altered given text coordinates if
text didn't fully fit on the picture. This breaks the use case of
scrolling large text, e.g. movie closing credits.
Add 'fix_bounds', to make it usable in such cases (by setting its value to 0).
Default behavior is not changed, and non-fitting text coords are fixed.

af08d9aeea lavc: add avcodec_is_open(). 
It allows to check whether an AVCodecContext is open in a documented
way. Right now the undocumented way this check is done in lavf/lavc is
by checking whether AVCodecContext.codec is NULL. However it's desirable
to be able to set AVCodecContext.codec before avcodec_open2().

8400b126ac avcodec: deprecate AVFrame.age 
This was intended as an optimisation for skipped blocks in MPEG2
P-frames and never used elsewhere.  Removing this "optimisation"
speeds up MPEG2 decoding by 1-2% (ARM Cortex-A9).

560f773c7d avcodec: change number of plane pointers from 4 to 8 at next major bump. 
Add AV_NUM_DATA_POINTERS to simplify the bump transition.
This will allow for supporting more planar audio channels without having to
allocate separate pointer arrays.

f28070a123 Add PlayStation Portable PMP format demuxer 
Not yet complete, for demuxing AAC the AAC header must be generated
manually.
Possibly the decoder could accept the header as extradata to simplify
this.

f3a29b750a avcodec: move some AVCodecContext fields to an internal struct. 
A new field, AVCodecContext.internal is used to hold a new struct
AVCodecInternal, which has private fields that are not codec-specific and are
used by general libavcodec functions.

Moved internal_buffer, internal_buffer_count, and is_copy.

627067118c avutil: Add av_timegm as a public function 
This is useful, since the normal timegm function isn't a standard
function (requiring _BSD_SOURCE or _SVID_SOURCE on glibc to
be visible, and not available on e.g. windows). The widely available
function mktime uses the local time zone, which requires ugly
workarounds to handle UTC time.

85579b6381 avcodec: remove the Zork PCM encoder. 
The Zork PCM decoder does not decode the 1 sample we have correctly, therefore
the encoder based on the decoder is also incorrect. There is no good reason to

New syntax contains an optional stream type, allowing to refer to n-th
stream of specific type.

3d4f0dab79 avconv: get rid of new* options. 
They are confusing, irregular and redundant -- -map already contains all
the information.  Stream maps can now be parsed in opt_output_file().

Add a more user-friendly default behavior in case no maps are present.

Breaks -programid for now, but it never worked properly anyway. A better
solution will be written soon.

e6e6060c9b avconv: make -map_metadata work consistently with the other options 
Before, it took an input and output file index, now it only takes an
input file and applies to the next output file.

Stream/chapter/program specification is now part of the option name and
the delimiter was changed from ',' to ':' to be consistent with the
similar feature for AVOptions.

a6703faa15 samplefmt: add av_get_bytes_per_sample() 
Deprecate av_get_bits_per_sample_fmt(), which was a misnamed function.

For the moment we don't have sample formats with a non-integer number
of bytes, in that case we may need to create a new
av_get_bits_per_sample() function. In the meanwhile we prefer to adopt
this variant, since avoids divisions by 8 all over the place.
