93af2734ee lavc: put FF_IDCT_{VP3,H264,CAVS,BINK,EA,WMV2} under FF_API_IDCT. 
This allows us to get rid of them on the next major bump. All of the
above are functionally irrelevant, and most of them are unused, except
the vp3 one, which is used wrongly in the bfin arch optimizations.

0940580adb lavc: Correct the description of pkt_dts 
The description as updated in 6e5c44b0f made it sound like it is
handled exactly like the pts, which it is not. Clarify that it
is the packet that triggered returning the frame instead of just
the last avpacket (in case of frame threading, it won't be the
dts of the last packet).

9b500b8f6c avcodec: Add a RFC 3389 comfort noise codec 
This isn't too useful as a normal codec, but can be used in
voip style applications. The decoder updates the noise
generator parameters when a packet is given to it for decoding,
but if called with an empty packet, it generates more noise
according to the last parameters.

2ff67c909c lavc: fix mixing CODEC_ID/AV_CODEC_ID in C++ code. 
C++ does not allow to mix different enums, so e.g. code comparing
ACodecID with CodecID would fail to compile with gcc.

This very evil hack should fix this problem.

The number of pixel formats outgrew the number of available bits in
the bitmask used in avcodec_find_best_pix_fmt().
avcodec_find_best_pix_fmt2() uses a PIX_FMT_NONE terminated list
of pixel formats instead.

This removes all references to AVCodecContext.dsp_mask and marks
it for eviction at the next version bump.  It has been superseded
by av_set_cpu_flag_mask() which, unlike this field, works everywhere.

6699d07480 avcodec: add av_get_exact_bits_per_sample() function 
This only returns bits per sample when it is exactly correct. That is, the
codec contains only raw samples with no frame headers or padding. This applies
to basically all PCM codecs and a small subset of ADPCM codecs.

02beb9826b lavc: deprecate AVCodecContext.sub_id. 
In most places where it's used, it's as a pointless write-only field.

Only rv10 decoder actually reads from it, but it stores some internal
version info in it. There is no reason for it to be in a public field.

e9cda85351 avcodec: add duration field to AVCodecParserContext 
This will allow parsers to export the duration of the current frame being
output, if known, instead of using AVCodecContext.frame_size.

0bf184e59c Move PS2 MMI code below the mips subdirectory, where it belongs. 
Also give a more suitable name to the MMI-optimized IDCT;
it is not PS2-specific, as the name currently suggests.

0144fe6995 Remove Sun medialib glue code. 
It is obscure, most likely unused and not bit-exact compared to
libavcodec due to a different IDCT transform algorithm.

316fc7443b avcodec: Add av_fast_padded_malloc(). 
Wrapper around av_fast_malloc() that keeps FF_INPUT_BUFFER_PADDING_SIZE
zero-padded bytes at the end of the used buffer.

bc90199848 lavc: set AVCodecContext.codec in avcodec_get_context_defaults3(). 
This way, if the AVCodecContext is allocated for a specific codec, the
caller doesn't need to store this codec separately and then pass it
again to avcodec_open2().

It also allows to set codec private options using av_opt_set_* before
opening the codec.

af08d9aeea lavc: add avcodec_is_open(). 
It allows to check whether an AVCodecContext is open in a documented
way. Right now the undocumented way this check is done in lavf/lavc is
by checking whether AVCodecContext.codec is NULL. However it's desirable
to be able to set AVCodecContext.codec before avcodec_open2().

Put all private fields at the end and mark them as such so they can be
easily changed/removed.

This breaks ABI.
