Use the init_opaque callback for the purpose.
Fix regression introduced in a5e8c41c28. In particular, fix lavfi
device in case a conversion to the supported (packed) formats is needed.
This will be used by filters which require an opaque field to be passed
in input. Should be required only for filters which imply a programmatic
use.
This is possibly a temporary solution, to be removed when we'll have a
clearer and better agreememnt of how/if to pass binary data for
initializing a filter.

Add list extended format which specifies in the list file the start and
ending time for each segment. This is required to make it available this
information to external tools, avoiding the need to perform file analysis
in the output segments.
Allow to deal with the list file printing only in a single point, thus
simplifying logic, and allow a bit of factorization (no special case
needed when printing the first file name of the list).
The vsrc_buffer.h is not installed since commit 0b3b958135, so there is
no point into keeping it around.
The buffersrc.h API, which is more powerful, should be used instead.
This simplifies usage for segment streaming formats with no global
headers, tipically MPEG 2 transport stream "ts" files.
The seg class duplication is required in order to avoid an infinite loop
in libavformat/utils.c:format_child_next_class().
Move the lavc/imgconvert functions and rename them as follows:
avpicture_get_size -> av_image_get_buffer_size()
avpicture_fill -> av_image_fill_arrays()
avpicture_layout -> av_image_copy_to_buffer()
The new functions have an align parameter, which allows to define the
linesize alignment assumed in the buffer (which is set or read).
The names of the functions are consistent with the lavu/samples API
(av_samples_get_buffer_size(), av_samples_fill_arrays()).
Deprecate functions:
avfilter_fill_frame_from_buffer_ref
avfilter_fill_frame_from_audio_buffer_ref
avfilter_fill_frame_from_video_buffer_ref
and schedule to drop them at the next API major bump.
The function avfilter_copy_buf_props() should be used instead.
libavfilter API was designed in order to be clarly distinguished from the
libavcodec API, including avcodec.h in avfilter.h is not going to help to
stick to this principle.
The inclusion of libavutil/audioconvert.h in many files was required
because avcodec.h includes audioconvert.h.
libavfilter/avcodec.h is where the lavc/lavfi interface should be
entirely placed.
Fix warning:

Add request_frame() which checks the black duration when the end of the
stream is signalled. Allow to detect black video segments at the end of
the stream.
Note that the reported last black video segment duration is not very
accurate, since we still miss the duration information in the video
buffer.
Address trac ticket #1470.
Use av_frame_* accessors for the newly added fields in AVFrame (for which
we are supposed to use such accessors), and group the istructions
accordingly.
The documentation states that av_image_check_size() will return a
negative value in case of error, while the check is done on ret != 0.
Also return a proper error code rather than -1 in case the check fails.
Remove duplicated out-of-loop init code, and do color matrix
initialization at the beginning of each y iteration.
Allow factorization and avoid an useless matrix update in the last
iteration.
The previous table appears to be wrong (it was copied from the original
MPlayer super2xsai filter in order to keep binary compatibility).
The new table is consistent with the init code and apparently fixes a
combing artifact on the left edge of the generated image.
Use the same values of the video output link.
Avoid the need to override the default_start_frame() with an ad-hoc
start_frame() callback.
In particular, fix the super2xsai filter which was setting the
input w/h values in the output.
The function will abort through an assert if the source is not defined,
or if the internal state of the source is inconsistent (e.g. type = AUDIO
&& !src->audio).
avcodec.c is where it is defined the lavc/lavfi interface code, so seems
a more adequate location (and doesn't force the inclusion of
libavcodec/avcodec.h where it is not required).
The value returned by strerror_r may be positive depending on the system,
so it is necessary to use AVERROR() in order to get a negative
number. This way the successive negative check will not fail, and the
function will print a meaningful error message on the buffer.
